East Sumba is a region in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia which is famous with the richness of the variousity of traditional ethnic fabricespecially those that well known as tenun pahikung, not only made traditionally but also natural dye process.

The motif is connected with the typical motifs of the tribal region.

Motif Philosophy :

  • The term of Mas Kawin comes as a form of respect of the groom to the bride and represents the dowry of the local society in East Sumba, Indonesia.
